Enlisted: War in the Pacific is coming in September

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

War in the Pacific is coming to Enlisted in September. The new campaign features unique Japanese military equipment and tactical options.

Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment announce that a Pacific campaign will be added to WWII shooter Enlisted at the end of September. This introduces the Imperial Japanese Army to the game and the combined battles of infantry, ground vehicles and aircraft will now take place on the islands of the Pacific Ocean. Players can even experience the famous Battle of Guadalcanal – one of the places where the outcome of the entire Pacific War was decided.

The Pacific campaign will feature new weapons and vehicles, as well as new game mechanics that will make the gaming experience even more authentic. Infantrymen, for example, can now gather all their strength and “charge” forward with cold weapons (e.g. katanas) in hand and vehemently attack enemy positions.

Such “Banzai attacks” were often carried out by the Japanese army during the war. Another iconic element of this war, Enlisted also features the Japanese shock mines, anti-tank weapons with a high-explosive payload. The equipped soldier must get as close as possible to the enemy tank in order to hit the mark, even if it costs him his own life. In addition, amphibious tanks help to overcome numerous water obstacles, and phosphorus shells set fire to enemy trenches and fumigate the enemy with poisonous smoke.

The update brings a total of dozens of new weapon types and vehicles (both Japanese and American) to the game.

The Pacific Campaign will be available to all players for free. But it is also possible to buy a special pack that makes leveling up easier and includes premium squads. Users who pre-order the pack will also receive exclusive cosmetic items.
