Activision reveals all the information of the new Al Mazrah map of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0

As was shown in Call of Duty: Next, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0the sequel to the seminal battle royale experience in which more than 125 million players left to play, will arrive on November 16, as part of Season One of Modern Warfare II.

This massive free offering takes advantage of new technology shared with mod warfare ii, introduces a number of new innovations and continues the new era of Call of Duty coming this fall, starting with the release of Modern Warfare II on October 28.

New Drop Zone Identified – Get ready to jump in!

As part of this announcement, we are pleased to present Al Mazrah, a new map for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0.

This huge metropolitan area plays an equally gigantic role within the universe of Modern Warfare IIwhich appears within the Campaign and is a key part of the events that follow it.

As in Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® (2019), consider Al Mazrah and its main points of interest as your new home for a wide variety of missions: four-player special operations, 6v6 squad battles, Ground War operations, Battle Royale for up to 150 players and much more. .

Also, if you’ve been playing Call of Dutythis new home may be more familiar than you think.

Al Mazrah, Adal Republic – An Overview

Located in western Asia, the Republic of Adal defines only a small part of the original cradle of civilization, an unfortunate result of modern state lines being drawn to control the gifts it gives to the world.

No other place in the world has such an abundance of natural resources right on a coastline that sees an incredible amount of international trade. And that is what makes it a battlefield for foreign powers at the expense of the local population.

The capital of the Republic of Adal is Al Mazrah, a source of strategic resources and luxury that brought life thousands of years before the Common Era. Its history spans through some of the greatest empires in history, as reflected in the ancient architecture of the entire capital.

Your missions will take place on the southern edge of Adal, rather than in the deserts controlled by masses of enemy troops to the north.

Starting from that northern limit, these are the main points of interest in Al Mazrah:

Oasis

Several freshwater ponds and palm trees offer a welcome respite from the desert beyond. Look at the ancient ruins: this small area was a livelihood in a bygone age.

Taraq Village

A United Offensive reduced this once peaceful village to mere rust and rubble. The tight confines of these zones make them conducive to small squad combat, especially dueling.

Rohan Oil

The Rohan Oil Refinery, one of the largest employers in the region, is strategically located near some of the oldest oil drilling rigs in Adal. Look at the homes to the north and south of this otherwise expanding factory.

Quarry (Al Safwa Quarry)

The massive limestone deposits make the quarry one of the three largest industrial areas in Al Mazrah, with nearly a dozen warehouses and hundreds of individually chiseled stone blocks.

Al Mazrah City

The past 100 years of Adal’s history encapsulated: Skyscrapers and modern buildings are at the core of Al Mazrah’s biggest point of interest. It was planned to be the ideal city, but it soon took in almost a million people, who were expelled to the slums of the periphery.

Hydroelectric (Zarqwa Hydroelectric)

The cradle of civilization now closes the circle of the modern era with the arrival of renewable energies. A mix of historic landmarks, mid-century homes, and modern industrial buildings are dotted around the rivers that create electricity for this small town, as well as the entire region.

Marshlands (Mawizeh Marshlands)

The swamps were once home to the ambitious River Diamond luxury resort in the 20th century. Now, due to the rise in the level of the river, both the river and the surrounding town are completely flooded, both by the water of the rivers and by the garbage that flows from the city to the north.

Caves (Sattiq Caves)

A deep network of underground hiding places lies within sight of a small town – where a plane once crashed – built into the side of the mountain. Elsewhere, a tall communications tower and a small collection of houses extend into Quarry.

Observatory (Zaya Observatory)

Atop Al Mazrah’s tallest mountain, several domed structures, including one destroyed, help the region chart the stars. Note the research facilities between each of the observation buildings.

Al Sharim Pass

This former monastery and mausoleum overlooks a modern town and zoo. The highest hill contains several modernized buildings over the rest of the area, partially destroyed by the elements and war.

Ahkdar Village

“An ancient city worth a showdown,” as one writer covering an old coup wrote. The world heritage consists of a central courtyard, and market areas define the western half, while more modern apartments make up the eastern part.

Said City

A sprawling, modern shopping center is juxtaposed with former apartments that housed generations of dockworkers. The area also contains a medieval-themed carnival and a minor league soccer stadium.

Port (Hafid Port)

The port is the cornerstone of Al Mazrah’s economy, as the Rohan Oil pipeline to the great seas terminates there. Several large warehouse structures can be found inland, while the Port itself has few containers due to international economic constraints for the region.

Sawah Village

The rise in sea level caused this coastal town to be submerged under water, with an accident cargo ship being the symptom and not the cause of the evacuated population.

Cemetery (El Samman Cemetery)

War Memorial, a major cemetery is now mostly abandoned and neglected, especially with a collapsed water tower flooding dozens of graves. The area is completely open to the elements, with a broken stone wall defining its boundaries.

Sariff Bay

Home to the country’s valuable fishery, this bay holds the history of Al Mazrah as well as that of Adal. It contains a vibrant downtown section with suburbs, a modern tourist center, and a few small islands.

Al Bagra Fortress

Defining the medieval history of the region, this walled island city was a museum dedicated to displaying its cultural importance until its occupation. Check out the large crab factory at the eastern end, a breakaway from adjacent Sariff Bay.

Airport (Al Malik Airport)

Terminal at the southern end of Al Mazrah, this modern airport blends traditional and modern architecture to accommodate both business and leisure activities. The observation tower, near the sea, is very accessible.
