experience points can by playing the game Collected to level up the Battle Pass. As in the original OW1, players earn experience points as they play and complete games in OW2.

“OW2” is added daily and weekly challenges offer that players can complete to earn Battle Pass experience points and earn Overwatch Coins that can be spent in the shop.

Daily Challenges: It will six daily challenges give to choose from. Any of these will 3,000 experience points be worth – with one Maximum of 9,000 pointsthat can be earned per day. That is, only three challenges per day can be completed for progression in the Battle Pass, the remaining tasks do not contribute to further progression.

Challenge tasks will have straightforward objectives, such as completing three games in any unranked mode, which gamers can theoretically achieve by simply playing a few rounds of OW2.

Weekly Challenges: The weekly challenges are designed to be more difficult to complete and include tasks such as winning 10 games, dealing 125,000 damage, or healing 40,000 damage.

For the weekly goals there is 5,000 experience points per challenge, as well as a certain number of coins. Completing four weekly challenges grants players 30 coins, four additional challenges grant 20 coins, and completing a total of 11 challenges grants players 10 additional coins.

It appears players can earn at least 60 Overwatch Coins per week, which would be more than half the cost of a Battle Pass over the course of a nine-week season.

In addition, Blizzard is also planning seasonal, competitive, and persistent challenges for Overwatch 2, but it’s not yet clear what those will entail.

What XP boosts will there be in OW2?

In addition to an XP boost that will always be part of the Premium Battle Pass each season, Blizzard players will too give an experience point boost when they form groups and play with friends.

“We want to encourage people to play Overwatch with friends – we believe the experience is better when you can do that”said Jon Spector, commercial director and vice president for Overwatch.
