WoW: Dragonflight: Summary of the Dragon Islands – new overview window
With the change from WoW: Shadowlands to Dragonflight, the overview window for the pacts has served its purpose and is replaced by the “Summary of the Dragon Islands”. In it we find the main features of the new extension.
In the meantime, every WoW player has probably gotten used to the fact that he can open and follow the most important features of the respective expansion with a click on the minimap. Whether it was the garrison in WoD, the class hall in Legion or the fame level and soul ties of our pact in Shadowlands – one click is enough and you know.
That should stay the same on the Dragon Islands. DTherefore, the developers have retained the overview window in Dragonflight and converted it to the new extension. So far, however, it was only equipped with placeholder graphics and old buttons in the alpha and beta. In the meantime, the developers have also given the window a chic Dragonflight look.
New look – no more work in progress
In terms of content, there are two important features in the summary of the Dragon Islands. One is dragon riding. Here you get direct access to your dragon’s talent tree without having to go to one of the teachers first.
The second are the four new factions. In contrast to previous expansions, you no longer have to farm reputation with these, but increase your fame. This works similar to Shadowlands through various tasks that you can do. Just like in the Shadowlands fame system of the covenants, you will also receive a corresponding reward for each level and gradually access to more faction content.
It is important to know, however, that you cannot gain relevant player power from any of the factions. The content and progression of the glory levels are therefore completely optional. Of course, this also applies to the Dragon Riding talent tree. Although it makes life on the Dragon Islands a lot easier if you can fly higher, faster and farther with your dragon.
