Big week on Steam: Three coveted strategic games start on the same day
The fourth week that has started in September brings three smashing new releases to Steam, which curiously will all be released on the same day, September 22nd. There are possible hit titles because the players on Steam use these in the ranking of the global wish list Place high: Two of them are in the top 50, while one sits just behind in 52nd place. The titles mentioned are an early access release and two final releases. We briefly introduce you to “Slime Rancher 2”, “Potion Permit” and “The Diofield Chronicle”.
What is Slime Rancher 2 about?
Developer studio Monomi Park releases September 22nd the sequel to the highly popular (97% agree) action-adventure on Steam Slime rancher into early access. The fact that Slime Rancher 2 will also be a complete success seems certain among the fans and players; it is not for nothing that the title is currently ranked 19th among the most popular games on the distribution platform. In Slime Rancher 2, players once again assume the role of protagonist Beatrix LeBeau as she embarks on a journey across the Slime Sea to Rainbow Island.
The majority of players are also looking forward to the next game from PQube and publisher MassHive Media, because Potion Permit is ranked 50th in the Steam wish list. The presentation of the game, which also appears at GOG and the Epic Game Store will be available to find favor. With its simple retro graphics, it is reminiscent of previous iterations of Final Fantasy or Pokémon. The developers describe Potion Permit as a Sim-RPG in which the players have to prove themselves as an alchemist and healing expert, because the 30 residents of the city of Mondburg are said to fall ill frequently. The mayor of the city, whose daughter fell ill, expresses particular distress. He has now chosen the player to ensure that his offspring heal quickly.
Just two spots below Potion Permit in the Steam Wishlist, players placed a typical Square Enix strategic JRPG. The Diofield Chronicle is the name of the strategy JRPG that Square Enix developed together with Lancarse. According to the developer, the game was designed with influences from fantasy, medieval and modern times, which are combined in a “unique and beautiful world”. The plot of the game is only described cryptically. First and foremost, the human world is plagued by war. This resulted in the “Blue Foxes”, a group of elite mercenaries who have to take action and decide the fate of the world. Matching this: 91 percent approval on Steam: Good start for the city-building sim Wandering Village
The developers reveal more details about the gameplay: The Diofield Chronicle is characterized by its real-time combat system, also known as “Real Time Tactical Battle” (RTTB). A variety of skills, classes and equipment should be available for this. The backdrop of the island of Diofield as the location of the strategy JRPG is kept in diorama style. The Diofield Chronicle will be available from September 22 for a typical Square Enix price of around 70 euros.
