Nvidia yesterday introduced the Geforce RTX 4090 and two versions of the RTX 4080. The power consumption of the RTX 4090 was specified as 450 watts, cooling this waste heat will not be easy, an expensive solution could be water cooling. Immediately afterwards, EK Water Blocks presented two different water cooling blocks to match the Geforce RTX 4090 Founders Edition from Nvidia.

The two models EK-Quantum Vector² FE RTX 4090 D-RGB – Nickel + Plexi and EK-Quantum Vector² FE RTX 4090 D-RGB – Nickel + Acetal differ on the outside. The latter has a transparent Plexiglas body on the front and an LED strip on the longest edge. The other version has a vertical LED strip on the short edge and an acetal plastic body. Both versions have an 11 mm thick copper heat sink and a black aluminum backplate, which will later also be available as an active version.

The two cooling blocks can now be pre-ordered for EUR 239.90 each. In addition, further versions of the Vector² cooling blocks for other PCB designs from Nvidia partner manufacturers (for example: Asus, MSI, Zotac, Gigabyte etc.) have been promised.
