Dark Souls 3: Oh no, the PC servers are offline again
After a long downtime, the Dark Souls 3 Steam servers finally came back last month. But now they are offline again.
As publisher Bandai Namco states, there is an issue that is currently being investigated.
What’s wrong with the servers?
“There is currently a confirmed issue with Dark Souls 3’s online mode on the Steam platform,” the statement said on Twitter.
“We are investigating the cause of the issue and will update you as more details become available. Thank you for your patience.”
How long it will take this time is not known. Hopefully not as long as before as the previous downtime lasted more than seven months.
In January, Bandai Namco shut down the servers of all Dark Souls games due to security concerns. It took several months to resolve the issues.
Further information on the cause of the current problem is not available.
Incidentally, the servers of the two predecessors are still offline since they were shut down in January.
At this time, there is a confirmed issue with DARK SOULS III online play via the Steam platform.
We are investigating the source of the problem and will inform you as soon as more details become available.
Thank you for your patience. #DarkSouls
