Diablo 2 Resurrected: Update 2.5 with Ranked Season 2, Terror Zones and more
Fans of the revamped ARPG classic Diablo 2 Resurrected have every reason to celebrate, as Update 2.5 has recently been released, bringing the start of Ranked Season 2 with Breakthrough spells on October 7th, 2022. Also, Sanctuary now has Terror Zones! With us you will find out the details!
We don’t want to keep you long! Instead, we’ll just tell you that Diablo 2 Resurrected Update 2.5 is live on the servers and the spooky terror zones brought with it. If you’re playing with Terror Zones active, fiendish tremors full of the Lord of Destruction’s steadfast corruption roll into specific zones every hour, encouraging and terrorizing the monsters. The monsters in these zones are at least two levels higher than your current level or their original level, up to a certain maximum depending on the difficulty level. The experience and loot gained from killing terrorized monsters is based on this new tier. Terror Zones are unlocked for heroes who have defeated Baal on every difficulty level.

- Base: +2 levels, up to level 45
- Champion: +4 levels, up to level 47
- Unique: +5 levels, up to level 48
nightmare

- Champion: +4 levels, up to level 73

hell
- Base: +2 levels, up to level 96
- Champion: +4 levels, up to level 98

Ranked Season 2 starts on October 7th, 2022…
… and for European players of Diablo 2 Resurrected of course in the middle of the night, namely at 02:00 a.m. our time. With that not only activated six breach spells, but of course Ranked Season 1 is over. Then what happens to the shared treasury of ranked heroes?
Don’t panic, the developers will tell you: you have all season to save them! “Once Ranked Season 1 ends, all ranked characters will be transferred back to their respective unranked faction. All items in a character’s faction’s shared treasury will be transferred to new shared loot-only stash slots. These are marked with a check box marked for past seasons. You can pick up any items you want to keep throughout Ranked Season 2. When Ranked Season 2 ends, these special stash tabs will be overwritten with all the items within the Ranked Season 2 shared hoard, so make sure to pick them all out first items, otherwise they are lost forever!”
