Digital Showcase 2022: Games Industry Conference will take place as a hybrid event

The Games Industry Conference (GI), which will take place as a hybrid event this year, starts in October.

Patick Liu, Head of Publishing at Fast Travel Games, will host a moderately difficult session on the challenges facing large development studios with goal setting and team alignment. As the ex-Head of Games at Mojang, Creative Director at Rovio, and Senior Producer at Dice, Patrick has a wealth of experience dealing with such challenges. He will present his insights as an insider and explain how such difficulties can be overcome.

People Can Fly’s Lead Graphics Programmer, Peter Sikachev, is hosting a talk session for anyone interested in Unreal Engine 5. In the past he worked on famous IPs like e.g. B. Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Peter will take up the topic of liquid-based simulations of wind in UE5 in his presentation. First he will give an introduction to the theory behind it and the most important points for a practical real-time based simulation before presenting his company’s in-house solution for extending and improving the UE 5 graphics engine.
