Infinity Ward vows to punish Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta hackers
We recently published that hackers have surprisingly reached the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta.
The community was quite infuriated after multiple users discovered cheaters in the early beta in the first few hours of the beta hitting PC and players on the platform started having a rough time. However, developer Infinity Ward has addressed the reported cheating and stated that it will take action against hackers starting on September 25, as reported by GamesRadar.
There have been reports from players that these cheaters have been very brazen about their exploits, even going so far as to openly discuss their use of cheats in the post-game lobby of several matches. Infinity Ward hasn’t stated how it plans to tackle piracy at this time, just that it will take action.
Tomorrow, we’ll begin taking live action against cheaters and hackers in Beta matches.

The fact that Infinity Ward is acknowledging the piracy and addressing the issue early should give legitimate players some hope that the piracy issue will be fixed soon. You can read our impressions of the game HERE.
