New bow from Destiny 2 delights players, but the most popular perk is not a god roll

Over the weekend, players in Destiny 2 were able to earn the master version of the new trials arc “Pfeiffer’s Mood”. Actually, the perk “Kill Clip” is considered a god roll among the players and thus the strongest option for the weapon. But a new perk from Season 18 could be a much better choice, because it gives you bonus damage even if you don’t hit well.

Which weapon is it? The current Season 18 brought two new weapons to the loot pool of “Trials of Osiris”. A new shotgun and, for the first time, a bow called “Pfeiffer’s mood”. It’s only a reissue from the “Whispering Record” released in Season 11, but with much better values.

This weekend you could also earn the bow for the first time in the master version for a flawless run to the lighthouse. Many players therefore prioritized his “Light Case” with the “Kill Clip” perk as a god roll. Especially since it is the first bow that can even drop with it.

However, a few content creators, like Legole flash are now saying: “Don’t let that blind you!”. You and we at MeinMMO have identified another, strong favorite perk that is better than “Kill Clip”. Especially if you aim through the sight instead of from the hip.

Pfeiffer’s Temper – The new arc from the Trials of Osiris

These two perks compete for the role of favorite: Pfeiffer’s Mood can drop with both Kill Clip and the new Perk Straight to the Pit of the Stomach. On closer inspection, however, the advantages of the latter outweigh the disadvantages.

  • The Kill Clip perk deals increased damage when reloading after a kill. This grants you exactly 33% more damage for 5.5 seconds in Season 18. But only if you can make a kill with it.
  • However, “Right in the Pit of the Stomach” increases body shot damage and decreases aiming when aiming through the scope. This is a free 20% damage bonus that is always active, as opposed to Kill Clip. And even for imprecise shots, i.e. body hits, when aiming through the sight.

With the perk “Straight to the pit of the stomach”, “Pfeiffer’s mood” can not only score with free extra damage, a fast draw time and a slight speed boost. He’s also very forgiving on misses. In PvP, your body damage increases from 86 to 103.

In addition, you should not be put off by its “light case”, which is known for its rather poor time to kill values. To compensate, “Pfeiffer’s mood” has enormously good precision values, so that you quickly forget this disadvantage.

How impressive Legoleflash shows you in his video, that at the same time is also a homage to light bows. In it he also explains in detail why the new perk is his favorite.

Forget Kill Clip – The new season 18 perk is better, says Legoleflash.

With an Accuracy of 38, the bow has more accuracy than any other bow in the game with Light Case. For comparison: Arsenic Bite has 32 points. Every other bow of this archetype is only around 20.

Legoleflash recommends the following perk combo:

  • polymer tendon
  • Fiberglass Arrow Shaft
  • Moving Target (Optional would be Killing Wind or Tunnel Vision.)
  • Right in the pit of your stomach
  • Masterpiece: Steep Time

In addition to “straight into the pit of the stomach”, “encircled” and “threshing” would also be suitable for PvE.

In addition to the regular perk benefits, you then have the choice between three optionally selectable origin properties.

  • haste: for improved reloading, stability, aim assist, and range when you’re the last member of your fireteam alive or fighting alone.
  • A quiet moment: Grants increased reload speed while out of combat.
  • Veist Spike: This gives bows a faster tensioning speed.

Haste is a little better than Veist’s spike with this bow. Because with the above perk combo you have already reached the maximum drawing speed of 500.

In this combination, the new bow basically plays like a constant 2-tap handgun. But only if you keep a few things in mind.

This is what the God Roll of “Pfeiffer’s Laune” looks like with the recommended properties.

How to play the bow correctly: In order for you to trigger the perk, you have to get used to it a bit. Especially if you’ve always preferred to fire from the hip.

In order for “Straight to the Pit of the Stomach” to work, you must always first aim and then draw the arrow of the bow. So you can’t “subpoena”. However, once you get the hang of it, the combination of movement boost and 2 body shot kills is really impressive.
