At the beginning of September, The Last of Us Part 1, the remake of Naughty Dog’s PS3 hit, was released, allowing us to relive the emotional road trip with Joel and Ellie on the PlayStation. With the already twisted HBO series, we get the whole thing again as a live-action adaptation. A first trailer for it is now finally available to see.

Today, September 26th, is TLoU Day. So it’s no wonder that developer Naughty Dog wants to deliver something to us that day. And what could be better than the first proper trailer for the upcoming HBO series?

The first real scenes were shown in a general HBO trailer last month and immediately brought back memories of the game. The first real trailer doesn’t change that much:

Start, Cast, Story – All known information

Even if the trailer is really good, there is one small disappointment: no exact release date was given. So we’re still waiting for the answer as to when the series will start on HBO and thus on Sky (WOW). So far it is only known that it should be ready in 2023.
