Far Cry 6 could be getting a "game of the year update" soon

It seems that Ubisoft could be planning a significant update for its open world game far cry 6 in the near future. The latest game in the long-running series that took us to a paradise island ruled by the dictator Antón Castillo.

@ALumia_Italia, a Twitter page that routinely tracks the Xbox backend and what updates are made to it, appears to have discovered files on the platform game’s servers for a “Game of the Year Upgrade Pass” from far cry 6.

The image itself appears to be authentic, although there is very little information to gather there. But it looks like it could come with a new expansion (or maybe a smaller piece of content) on top of all the content that’s already been released for the FPS. Based on the image, the upgrade pass will come with an expansion, a season pass, and something called an ultimate bundle.

This isn’t something Ubisoft has officially announced yet, but Ubisoft is of course notorious for letting information leak out to them, so it wouldn’t be surprising in the least if this turned out to be beans spilled for an upcoming reveal.

far cry 6 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.
