World of Warcraft Classic takes you to the frozen north with Wrath of the Lich King

World of Warcraft released Wrath of the Lich King Classic today. You now have the opportunity to access the classic version of the popular extension.

An icy touch of nostalgia

In addition to the then new hero class, the death knight, you get access to numerous quests, new enemies and locations. From level 55 there is also the original achievement system. Overall, you can now level up to level 70.

The gaming experience comes straight from a can that Blizzard must have kept since 2008. Nevertheless, some gameplay and social features have been modernized.

“Wrath of the Lich King Classic is an iconic adventure from a pivotal time in Azeroth’s history – we love this expansion, so we’ve taken extra care to balance nostalgia with necessary modernizations,” said Holly Longdale, Executive Producer and VP of World of Warcraft.

The group search tools, for example, have received a fresh coat of paint. Numerous group content, such as 12 dungeons, are also available directly at the release. In the course of time there should even be a total of 16 dungeons. Three out of seven raids will be released on October 6th.
