Twitch streamer Ninja recently decided not to renew his Twitch contract in order to be able to stream on all possible platforms simultaneously. He lost his partner status and the sub button, but due to an error, users’ subscriptions were automatically extended and asked to pay.

the negative news about Twitch from the last few weeks don’t tear off. Twitch has once again made a mistake. This time, users are reporting that their subscriptions to Twitch streamer Ninja have been auto-renewed. The problem with that: Ninja doesn’t even have a sub button anymore. Subscribing to his channel is no longer possible. Users who have auto-renewed their subscription to Ninja’s Twitch channel will continue to be charged, even though Ninja’s Twitch channel will no longer be monetized at all. As users report, the people from Twitch also do not show the will to refund the money.

Subscription extended? Bad luck!

In a September 27, 2022 tweet, YouTuber Allenowz Twitch streamer Ninja that his subscription has been automatically renewed, even though Ninja is no longer a Twitch partner. He writes: “They may have removed the tick and the sub button, but they still take the money they no longer pay Ninja for.”

So Twitch continues to pocket 100 percent of sub-earnings from subscribers on Ninjas Channel. Just during the Disputes about the end of the 70/30 sub-split of course it doesn’t look good. Worse still is the response from customer service who are not ready for a refund.
