WoW WotLK Classic: Northrend supplies make alchemists poor – hotfix regulates

WoW: The Great Sacrifice - Ysera, Tyrande and Co in Dragonflight (Spoilers!) (1)

Anyone who has already quested for a few hours in Northrend or has regularly explored the dungeons as a tank or healer should have more elixirs and potions than you can throw in on the way to level 80. Blizzard meant it a little too well with the new Northrend supplies and the alchemists in particular are suffering. Now a hotfix for WoW WotLK Classic should solve the problem.

The author of these lines recently passed a mailbox with his villain from WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic. Ah, a guildmate sent me a letter. Definitely a locked cassette you want me to open. Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! I found countless elixirs and potions in the mail. His comment: “I fill up dozens of dungeons every day and get dumped with the stuff. Have fun with it.“I already had more elixirs and potions than I can use by level 80 just by questing through half of the Borean Tundra…

Northrend adventure supplies

But where does all this stuff come from? That didn’t exist back then. Is correct! The Blizzard developers have implemented two changes in WotLK Classic that have caused a veritable flood of alchemy goods in the last few days:

  • Northrend quests that complete quest chains no longer only reward you with the original loot from back in the day, but also with supplies for your Northrend adventure and sometimes Emblems of Heroism as well. That’s how Blizzard wants to make sure you Story quest lines affecting Northrend zone phasing stagesreally played through to the end.
  • If there is a shortage of tanks and healers, then players who fill those roles will be rewarded with special loot. Consumables can also be found in these loot bags.

As you can imagine, many alchemists will not find the introduction of these new supplies to Northrend all that exciting.
