In Finland, 14 custom designs based on the Geforce RTX 4090 were listed. The minimum prices called are slightly above the RRP, and the most expensive model costs 2,549 euros.

It will be almost two weeks before the new Geforce RTX 4090 comes onto the market, but the hardware dealers are already positioning themselves for the release. After ten custom designs were recently listed by the US dealer Newegg, 14 variants of the Geforce RTX 4090 have now appeared at the Danish dealer Proshop.

Euro prices above RRP?

However, the corresponding custom designs were not listed directly in Denmark, but at the Finnish branch of Proshop. Since Finland is both a member of the EU and the euro zone, the prices there should be comparable to those in Germany. The only thing to note is a slightly higher VAT of 24 percent.

This slightly higher VAT is hopefully also the reason for the somewhat above-average prices. Because contrary to the RRP of 1,949 euros, Proshop charges at least 1,999 euros for the listed RTX 4090 graphics cards – a surcharge of almost 2.6 percent. Interestingly, for this price, only the Gigabyte Geforce RTX 4090 Windforce and the Asus Geforce RTX 4090 TUF Gaming offered. the MSI Geforce RTX 4090 Gaming Triowhich was also offered by Newegg at a minimum price, is significantly more expensive at 2,099 euros.

For this price, Proshop also lists the new entry-level model from Inno3D, the Geforce RTX 4090 X3 OC. This is followed by the higher-priced variants, up to the Asus Geforce RTX 4090 ROG Strix OC for 2,549 euros. For comparison: The same model based on the Geforce RTX 3090 is current in the PCGH price comparison listed for 1,699 euros. In the months after its launch, however, the graphics card was sometimes significantly more expensive, some times it was even sold for over 3,000 euros. Even if the prices of Nvidia’s new generation are initially higher than those of the previous models, they are at least still below last winter’s worst excesses.
