Legacy of Kain: Official Poll on “Franchise’s Potential Future” – News

About possible new titles Legacy of Cainseries we have already reported several times. Most recently in 2017 when Crystal Dynamics made a short post on Twitter published. In the comments below our news from that time you can read, among other things, entries from you such as “I secretly hope for a reobot”, “I loved Blood Omen at the time” or “I would also welcome a remake very much”.

In a recently published Publisher poll is now about the “possible future of the franchise”, which could indicate that the company is thinking about appropriate implementations (remakes/remasters and the like) or that there are already concrete plans.

In addition to questions about which platform you prefer or whether you know or have played the games of the Legacy of Kain series, it is about how you would react to the announcement of a new game.

As we progress, the questions become more specific. For example, you will be asked to decide whether you would prefer a remake or a remaster of one of the original games, a series reboot, or related sequels. It also asks which part should be revised first and for which platforms: Blood Omen – Legacy of Kain (1996), Legacy of Kain – Soul Reaver (1999), Legacy of Kain – Soul Reaver 2 (2001), Legacy of Kain – Blood Omen 2 (2002) or Legacy of Cain – Defiance (2003).

You should also decide on the type of game you want to play (single player, multiplayer) and the genres that you prefer and aren’t familiar with (action, MMO, horror, and so on).

As usual with such surveys, we will simply have to wait and see whether Crystal Dynamics will comment on the results and whether there will be concrete ideas or actually new implementations within the Legacy of Kain universe in the (foreseeable future).
