Foolish Mortals: Kickstarter campaign launched – News

Back in April, Inklingwood Studios announced a kickstartercampaign for their point-and-click adventure Foolish Mortals (to the news) The starting signal has now been given and the search for supporters will continue until November 3rd. More than half of the minimum sum of just over 13,500 euros has already been reached, so that the first stretch goals will certainly be announced soon.

Foolish Mortals is the project of David Younger and his wife Sophie Younger, who got support from more than 30 freelancers. These include, for example, Sierra Veteran Josh Mandelwho contributes to the dialogues, and background artist Tanya Riareypreviously also used for the backgrounds Baphomet’s Curse 5 – The Fall of Man was responsible.

The campaign states that there will be a professional English dubbing. In all probability you can also count on German lyrics, a German dubbing could be a possible stretch goal. If you support the project with at least 16 euros, you would ideally receive the finished game as a digital download by the middle of next year. It is planned to be published Steam, itch.io and GOG. If things go the way the indie studio envisions, Foolish Mortals will be out in July 2023 for Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, PC, and Switch. As a collector, you will also get your money’s worth with the campaign, but you have to budget more than 100 euros for a Big Box.
