Polish developer and publisher CD Projekt has given a long-term strategic outlook, announcing several major projects:

  • Project Hadar – A completely new IP, which neither on The Witcher still Cyberpunk 2077 based on another existing brand. The project is to be developed entirely in-house, but is only in an early concept phase with a small team.
  • Project Sirius – A single and multiplayer project set in the Witcher universe with an “innovative approach” and aiming for a “broader audience.” The game, which is still in pre-production, is being developed by US studio The Molasses Flood with the support of CD Projekt Red. The production was announced a year ago when The Molasses Flood was bought by CD Projekt. In total, more than 60 developers are involved.
  • ProjectPolaris – A sequel too The Witcher 3 – Wild Hunt, which is supposed to offer an introduction to a completely new trilogy. The other parts are to be published within six years after the release of the first new title. The project is run by the internal studio CD Projekt Red in Poland with currently 150 developers and is currently still in pre-production.
  • Project Canis Majoris – A new story-driven open-world RPG, also set in the Witcher universe. A third-party development studio run by former employees of the Witcher series is working on it.
  • Project Orion – A sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, which aims to further develop the Cyberpunk universe. This project is also being developed by CD Projekt Red, but from a new studio in formation in Boston. Together with the existing studio in Vancouver, it forms CD Projekt Red North America.

Further details such as exact timelines or even release dates were not mentioned. All that is known is that the Witcher games will appear first and that a total of 700 developers work for CD Projekt.
