CD Projekt Red’s new IP Hadar is also an RPG

Yesterday, CD Projekt Red confirmed several new projects to be released in the future.

Among them is a project codenamed “Hadar”. And don’t expect any big surprises from this one: it’s going to be an RPG.

It is also the first time that CD Projekt Red has created its own brand in its 30-year history.

As the company pointed out, Hadar is still at a very early stage, but of course there were questions about it during a conference call after the project was confirmed.

“We do not give any specific dates for the start of pre-production of the title”, says CD project Michał Nowakowski, SVP of Business Development. “We’re still in the phase of building this setting and that’s the part that the core team working on it is currently dealing with.”

“But when it comes to genre, we make certain types of games,” he points out. “I think it’s safe to assume that we want to continue making games in this genre, so you can imagine what kind of game to expect here.”

The first work on it began in 2021, and the basics are still being worked on at the moment. Therefore, assume that it will be many years before we can play “Hadar”.
