The price of the Dead Space remake makes some fans shudder

Electronic Arts would like to have the full price for the remake of Dead Space, which in turn makes some fans shudder.

The thoroughly remastered new edition of the sci-fi horror classic is sold at the usual price at which new games are released.

How much does Dead Space remake cost?

As usual, the PC is the cheapest, here the normal version on Steam costs 59.99 euros, for the Deluxe Edition you pay 69.99 euros.

It’s going to be a fair bit more expensive on consoles. The Standard Edition costs EUR 79.99 and the Deluxe Edition costs EUR 89.99.

More news about Dead Space:

You can get it a little cheaper if you have a subscription to EA Play. In this case, the standard edition costs 71.99 euros and the deluxe edition 80.99 euros.

Given that this is a remake and not a completely new game, the price tag doesn’t sit well with everyone.

“Dead Space remake looks great but I won’t buy it for $70,” wrote one user on Twitter. “I’ll wait for the price to drop a little.”

Another added: “Dead Space Remake is £70 on console but only £50 on PC. Console games are a huge rip off.”

Others, on the other hand, take a more relaxed view and believe that the many changes justify the price.

One user writes: “Some people are pissed because Dead Space is a whopping $70. I wish it was $60 but the fact that it has twice the voice acting (Issac is more than DS2), new side quests, new characters, new gameplay… It looks like a FULL REMAKE to me. I’m happy to pay full price!”

One point of contention, of course, is the price difference between PC and console. how do you see it? Is the price too high for you?

Dead Space Remake will be released on January 27, 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
