Need For Speed Unbound Trailer – Looks Like Underground’s Illegal Sequel
Need For Speed Unbound is the new installment in the popular racing series. The trailer is impressive with a completely new look and options à la underground.
Guildford, UK – It’s official. Publisher EA has unveiled the first trailer for Need For Speed Unbound, showing the racing series in a whole new look. The name alone builds a bridge to the most popular parts of the series – Underground and Underground 2. Need For Speed Unbound goes away from complete realism and puts more emphasis on comic style (at least for the characters). That’s how good the new Need For Speed Unbound looks.

Need For Speed Unbound: First Trailer Revealed – Realism meets Fortnite
This is the trailer: With a small announcement on October 4th, EA gave the first glimpse of what the theme of the new Need For Speed could be. The 15 second teaser showed the familiar NFS logo with some glitchy graffiti tags in the background. Now it is known: The next part will be called Need For Speed Unbound. Here we have included the official trailer for the new NFS for you.
This can be seen: The trailer, which lasts around 2 minutes, mostly shows the vibe the game will have – illegal street racing, rival gangs and lots of drip around every corner. Like Underground 1 & 2, Need For Speed Unbound draws on the US hip-hop scene. The developer Criterion Games puts more emphasis on cosmetic content and the soundtrack.
The style: However, the unique art style puts the most important thing in the foreground: the cars. While characters and environments are more reminiscent of Fortnite, Cyberpunk Edgerunners or Into The Spiderverse, the vehicles shimmer in the well-known realistic look. If you can’t get enough of shiny chrome and neon-colored underbody lighting, you’ll have a lot to look at in Need For Need Unbound.
Need For Speed Unbound: Release and Gameplay Overview
This is what NFS Unbound has to offer: At first glance, the driving and the mechanics don’t seem to have changed all that much – after all, it’s still a racing game. However, EA reveals on the official Need For Speed Unbound website that there will be special challenges where you can run into A$AP Rocky and get behind the wheel of his car. There’s also a glimpse of the first 144 vehicles available – including 14 Lamborghini cars. Here are some more features packed into Need For Speed Unbound.
- 4K at 60fps on the Frostbite Engine
- Brand new graphics system for high frame rates
- Offline single player campaign
- Multiplayer with crossplay support
- Free post-launch updates
When is the release? Need For Speed Unbound will be released on December 2, 2022 and can already be pre-ordered on the official website. However, the new NFS will no longer run on last-gen consoles, leaving PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players empty-handed. Unbound will only appear on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
