A new pro controller for the PS5 could be a real insider tip for you

Manufacturer Victrix has presented a pro controller for the PS5. It offers a few special features for the PS5 and the PC and will officially be available in stores in early December 2022 and could compete with Sony’s in-house Pro Controller.

If you want to buy a controller for the PS5, you don’t have that much choice at the moment, because many of the best PS4 controllers you can buy don’t work with current PS5 titles.

The selection of official PS5 controllers is therefore quite small. In the meantime, Sony has introduced an official pro controller, the DualSense Edge, but there is no official release date yet.

Now manufacturer Victrix has introduced a new Pro controller for PS4, PS5 and PC. It should go on sale at the beginning of December 2022 and offers a few exciting features.

New Pro controller relies on modular design

What kind of controller is that? The new controller is called Pro BFG and is officially licensed by Sony. This means that the controller will be allowed to go on sale with the official PlayStation icons.

The controller features a modular interface with interchangeable button inputs, four buttons on the back that can be mapped to any button. The device can be used both wired and Bluetooth.

On top of that, the controller offers a 3.5mm jack connection and official support for Sony’s 3D audio.

If you are bothered by the typical symmetrical layout that Sony uses for its PlayStation controller, you can also swap the parts of the controller. In this way, you will also get the layout that you know from the Xbox controller, for example. Alternatively, you can omit the parts entirely.

You can use the Victrix Control Hub to further modify the controller, such as adapting and reassigning the buttons or changing the sound to suit your needs.

When will the controller appear? According to the English-language Amazon site, the controller will be available from early December 2022. We have not been able to find an alternative date on the official Victrix website.

How much should the pro controller cost? According to the manufacturer, the controller will cost $179.99. In Germany, the price with taxes and current inflation should be a little higher and around 200 euros. You can’t currently order the device on Amazon.
