No Man’s Sky: Waypoint update available with many new features

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

The new waypoint update for No Man’s Sky brings many new features, including a custom game mode and an overhauled inventory.

Hello Games releases Waypoint Update 4.0 for No Man’s Sky. The developers have once again worked hard and brought a lot of new functions and changes to the open-world exploration game.

One of the highlights of the update is a new custom game mode. There you can create a game according to your own specifications and settings. Additionally, the new “Releaxed Mode” ensures relaxed play where you can focus more on the story and exploration, and where danger and the grind are minimal.

A new auto-save system has also been introduced so you don’t have to worry about your progress anymore. However, manual saving is still possible.

From the planet’s surface you can sell your items via a trade rocket. This takes off into space and flies to the nearest station, where everything is sold to you at the Galactic Trade Network.

The inventory has also undergone an overhaul and has been visually revised with slot designs, backgrounds, symbols. For example, technology and cargo slots are accessible from a single view.
