First icon after 11,000 euros – that’s why fans become VIPs
All of Twitch is currently in the “FIFA 23” craze. MontanaBlack can’t escape the appeal of “FIFA Ultimate Team” either and put huge sums of money into the game.
Buxtehude – Twitch star MontanaBlack is currently in FIFA 23 fever. Ever since the latest part of the popular football simulation came out, the streamer has been opening one virtual trading card pack after the other in his live streams. Like his other streaming colleagues on Twitch, MontanaBlack also chases after the “icon cards”, i.e. particularly rare players. However, the chance of one of the coveted players is quite small and can be quite expensive. However, having already invested over €11,000 in the game, the streamer’s bad luck seems to be over.

MontanaBlack falls into a mega freak – draws the first icon after almost 9,000 FIFA packs
What happened? Since the release of FIFA 23, Germany’s biggest streamers seem to have collectively fallen for the “FIFA Ultimate Team” trading card mode. There are currently countless live streams on Twitch, in which one trading card after the other is drawn for hours.
However, MontanaBlack almost lost his temper when a viewer of his stream jokingly encouraged him that in order to draw a good trading card, he just had to believe hard enough: “You have to believe“, wrote the fan in the chat. The streamer then vented his anger in an outrageous tirade, which you can watch in the video we’ve included at the bottom of the article.
“You can shut up, digga‘ the annoyed streamer replies. After 11,000 euros, MontanaBlack is noticeably fed up with FIFA 23. “I drew 9,000 packs. […] I believed in every fucking pack there was an icon coming. At some point you can’t anymore. At some point you have no more strength‘ Monte grumbles in front of the camera and admits defeat:
“I don’t believe in anything anymore. I believe that I’m still going to drop dead here and haven’t drawn an icon yet.”
But the FIFA 23 gods have a surprise in store for him. Just as he seems to be giving up all hope, the unbelievable happens – MontanaBlack draws his first icon after over 11,000 euros and an estimated 9,000 packs. At first he wants to get angry, but when the name of the legendary player pops up, he is overcome with joy – Lothar Matthäus joins MontanaBlack’s FIFA 23 Collection.
