Call of Duty is reportedly saying goodbye to WWII. According to a leak, it goes back to the future. Advanced Warfare 2 is probably in the works.

Activision is already planning far ahead. According to leaks, after the disappointing CoD Vanguard, Sledgehammer Games is putting WWII on hold and venturing back into the future. The studio is said to be working on Advanced Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Back to the Future – Advanced Warfare 2 in the works according to the leak
Who is the leak from? The leak comes from insider RalphsValve. He published a short article in the English magazine “Whatifgaming” in which he explained that Sledgehammer Games was working on a successor to CoD Advanced Warfare. The studio, which most recently developed CoD Vanguard, is said to have said goodbye to the Second World War as a setting after the game’s flop.
When will Advanced Warfare 2 be released? An exact release is not yet known. According to RalphsValve, however, the release is planned for 2025. The shooter would come a year after the next premium title from Treyarch Games. Whether CoD 2025 is really called Advanced Warfare 2 has not yet been confirmed. Is the leak credible? The Advanced Warfare 2 leak is causing some confusion. RalphsValve is a very reliable insider when it comes to Call of Duty. His leak was supported by the equally reliable “TheGhostOfHope” on Twitter. However, CharlieIntel magazine and the streamers behind ModernWarzone said they had not heard of Advanced Warfare2.
TheGhostOfHope could be because the title is not necessarily called “Advanced Warfare 2”, but rather is a spiritual successor to the title. The sources from CharlieIntel and ModernWarzone could have denied the question about “Advanced Warfare 2”.
This is the Call of Duty release schedule: After the release of Modern Warfare 2 on October 28th, there is still a lot to do for the “Call of Duty” franchise. First is the release of Warzone 2. The two games will be supported for two years. A “Best of” DLC with the most popular maps in CoD history will probably be released in 2023.
