You can get the best weapons in Destiny 2 not only in the raid, but also from dealers – you just have to gamble a lot

Destiny 2 Funnel Web

In Destiny 2, players have often traveled to a variety of activities for their loot in order to get gifts. The traders in the tower often lost out and were ignored. However, Bungie has improved its dealers a bit with a few changes. But in order to benefit from it, you have to invest a lot of time.

Awesome weapons you can get without raids: There are a variety of weapons in Destiny 2 that players can acquire. However, many of the best guns are hidden behind the gates of raids and dungeons and require either teamwork, skill, or patience. However, not every Guardian can enjoy a raid weapon.

So Bungie has made sure that normal weapons can also become superior and versatile tools of death. And players can easily get hold of them from the NPC dealers in the tower.

We’ll show you which weapons and dealers it’s all about and what makes these weapons so special compared to other loot shooter guns.

A weapon for many areas of application

Destiny 2 is looking for options to offer you more weapon variety, which will also relieve your vault.

  • On the one hand you have the weapon crafting introduced with Witch Queen, with which you can always adapt the perks of malleable weapons as you wish.
  • NPC dealers now also offer the option to turn your weapons into more versatile killing machines and thus be much more flexible.

How are these weapons different from others? These special vendor weapons have the ability to drop up to three perks in a row. Previously, players could only be gifted weapons with two perks in rows three and four in raid challenges and twilights at grandmaster levels.

Now that Bungie has adjusted vendors, Wardens can now obtain weapons with a wider range of perks from them as well. All you have to do is put in a lot of time, because you can only enjoy such a gun with many customization options if you play a lot.

How do you get these weapons? On reddit, a user took a closer look at the dealers and the playlist loot. In doing so, deanguet found that you have to reset your rank up to three times with the well-known vendors before you get a chance to get a weapon with up to three perks from engrams and drops.

That sounds like little, but it is a huge job. If you don’t even like the playlist, the grind becomes all the more nerve-wracking. But if you have reset your reputation for the third time, your chance of getting one of these special guns from your selected dealer increases each time.

The following playlists currently offer you this advantage:

  • The Crucible of Lord Shaxx
  • The gambit of the nefarious vagabond
  • Commander Zavala’s Vanguard

A little hint for more yield: To avoid farming XP and unlocking engrams again after your third reset, you should stash all engrams on your way to the third reset. Each level you complete will already give you engrams, and instead of redeeming them, you keep them, giving you a higher chance of getting a three-perk weapon.

Is the grind worth it for guns like this? Basically, the guns are worth it, yes. For one thing, it becomes easier to get the weapon roll you want. On the other hand, the weapons offer much more flexibility due to the additional perks. With a bit of luck you get an optimal weapon for PvE and PvP.

So if you’re a Guardian who likes to play playlist activities non-stop or very often, then you can easily get hold of and use these upgraded guns.

But there are also players where this immense expenditure of time cannot be managed. Players who tune into Destiny 2 mostly to chill out in the evenings probably won’t force themselves to do 4 reputation rank resets in each playlist per season. With normal play, it is often just enough for the second reset within the 3-month season to even get the ritual weapon playlist ornaments for the seasonal challenge.

So while this is a safe source, this method is not for everyone. The grind is therefore a massive negative to consider.

What do you think of the fact that vendors are now also a good source for special weapons with more perks? Did you already know about it or did we just draw your attention to it now? Let us know how many times per season you manage to reset your reputation with vendors in the comments!
