Overwatch 2: Double XP weekends and cosmetics to make amends

Double XP Weekends and cosmetics have been announced to make amends for Overwatch 2’s troubled launch.

The launch of Overwatch 2 was overshadowed by attacks on the game servers, login problems and difficult access to the game due to the requirement for a phone number in the Battle.net account.

Blizzard has “broadly stabilized the game” and “made great strides in fixing or improving issues,” according to the developer.

The team continues to work on making the game even more stable. Another update for the game is planned for later this week.

To make up for Overwatch 2’s bumpy start, they plan to run multiple weekends with double experience points. Exact dates will be communicated later.

Players will also receive the Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary Skin and a Health Weapon Charm if they log in between October 25th and the end of Season 1.
