Doom can now be played in the editor of Windows - "Incredible", says John Romero

Since its release in 1993, new ways to play Doom have been found.

Sam Chiet has now developed a way to play Doom at 60 fps in Notepad.

Not playable for you yet

Unfortunately, the project is not yet publicly playable for everyone, but according to Chiet, that will probably change shortly.

The project also impressed Doom creator John Romero, who tweeted that the feat was “amazing.”

More news about Doom:

According to Chiet, the speed of the material has not been increased and the code in the Windows Editor has not been changed. Doom is fully playable and interactive in the editor without any trickery.
