Play Ghost and Price – Operators cost you 100 euros

The new Call of Duty should only release its most popular operators in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 for buyers of the expensive collector’s edition.

Santa Monica, California – The Modern Warfare 2 campaign is already playable, but fans now fear they won’t be able to play the cool characters from the story in the new Call of Duty or Warzone 2 multiplayer. Because Captain Price, Soap, Farah and even Ghost are only available for buyers of the expensive Vault Edition.

So there are Ghost, Price, Soap and Farah: The main characters of the story are currently only available by purchasing the expensive collector’s edition. Modern Warfare 2 Vault Edition bonus content includes instant access to the most popular Operators. But the whole thing costs a lot of money.

Unlock All Operators in MW2:

• Call of Duty celebrates its release on October 28th, but all 23 operators of Modern Warfare 2 are already known.
• Operator is what CoD calls the fighters you fight with in multiplayer and in Warzone. The playable characters are divided into two groups: SpeccGru and Kortac.
• Most operators are obtained through challenges in multiplayer, spec ops, or the Modern Warfare 2 campaign already available.
• But of all things, the story heavyweights and absolute fan favorites Captain Price, Ghost, Soap and the rebel Farah cannot be earned for the release.

This is also confirmed by the developers themselves: “Price, Farah, Soap and Ghost Operator are available via the “Red Team 141 Pack” in the Vault Edition” it says in the Call of Duty Blog.

Modern Warfare 2: Will the operators remain behind a paywall after release?

That’s why fans are so worried: If you want to buy the Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 2, you pay 99.99 to 109.99 euros in the appropriate stores. Players are now afraid that the popular characters will not be unlocked in the game itself even after the release. Because the developers’ choice of words with “operator” instead of skin is worrying.

An operator is the complete character, a skin just an outfit of an operator. So far, Activision or developer Infinity Ward has not commented on players’ concerns about Price and Ghost (as of 10/21/22). Ghost even graces the cover of Modern Warfare. By the way, there is another operator exclusively for PlayStation players of the new Call of Duty: the Samurai Oni.
