MMORPG is being removed from app stores for showing too much breasts at Halloween

The MMORPG AdventureQuest 3D has been temporarily removed from the App Store and Google Play Store. According to the developers, the reason for this should be a Halloween picture. Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, appears as the “host” of the event.

What happened? AdventureQuest 3D has been temporarily removed from major app stores, preventing new players from becoming aware of the MMORPG. For active players, however, this had no consequences.

The developers themselves took the action with humor and have already made changes to the artwork. On the official website they wrote:

LOL! Apparently our special guest’s image in AdventureQuest 3D was a bit too sharp for the App Store xD. The app has been temporarily removed pending confirmation of our new shop image. We sent the picture out this morning. Keep your fingers crossed that we will be activated again quickly.

However, it is unclear which image exactly was the problem. In addition to the comic artwork that we used in the cover photo, there is also the image of the “real Elvira” from a film from 1988. There she is in a comparable pose. This was also posted on Steam and the official website. It is possible that this version caused problems in the app stores.

Is the app active again? Yes, both in the App Store and in the Play Store. However, the customization of the developers is curious. They just overlayed the whole part with Elvira and put a “live” icon over it, like clicking on a stream there:

What is this game anyway? AdventureQuest 3D can be played on PC, for example via Steam, as well as on mobile. In fact, it’s among the best mobile MMORPGs out there.

It’s a theme park game with colorful graphics and action-packed battles. There is no autoplay, which makes the MMORPG on the smartphone almost special. With 81% positive reviews on Steam, it is even one of the best-rated games there.

The developers rely on a lot of humor and crazy events in AdventureQuest 3D. There are in-game concerts in the game, as you know it from Fortnite. The story and the characters you meet in the game world don’t take themselves too seriously either.
