Mass Effect 5 According To Bioware Solo RPG, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Now In Alpha
There are many rumors surrounding the next Mass Effect, but little is concrete. All the better, then, if there is concrete information from Bioware. In an interim report on Dragon Age, important information about Mass Effect has been revealed.
The Bioware development studio is keeping a relatively low profile when it comes to the upcoming projects of the RPG forge. But in a new blog entry about Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the sequel to Dragon Age: Inquisition, there is not only information about the fantasy RPG, but also about Part 5 of Mass Effect. So this will build on the strength of the series that players have loved in the past.
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has reached Alpha Milestone
According to Bioware General Manager Gary McKay, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has now reached the alpha milestone, meaning that it can be played from start to finish internally. That doesn’t mean the game is out anytime soon or ready to be shown to a large extent – still a good sign that things are moving forward! After all, Dragon Age: Inquisition will soon be ten years old. But what about Mass Effect?

Next Mass Effect will be a single player game
As for the next game in Commander Shepard’s universe, it says: “We have a team working hard to envision what the future holds for a new Mass Effect single player game.” This short statement is still an important clarification, because it allows players to bury fears that it is a multiplayer offshoot that does not build on the story strengths of the series. No multiplayer like in Mass Effect 3 and Andromeda?
It sounds like all resources are being focused on solo play, as is Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, which has had its online mode canceled. Accordingly, there will probably not be a multiplayer mode like in ME3, DA: Inquisition and Andromeda. In the Legacy Edition of the Mass Effect trilogy, too, the people at Bioware decided not to return the popular multiplayer mode, which Bioware says would have been too expensive to remaster.
Are you happy about this information? Is Mass Effect a pure single player universe for you? Do you still want a multiplayer spin-off with all the cool abilities we got to use as Commander Shepard? Write us your opinions in the comments, we are already curious.
