The Witcher Netflix: Cavill’s departure was already indicated – that’s probably why
Geralt actor Henry Cavill will soon be turning his back on The Witcher series on Netflix. He will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth in Season 4. This big change may have been a long time coming, and we may already know why Henry Cavill is leaving.
Henry Cavill’s The Witcher departure may have been in the offing by now
That’s what it’s about: The Netflix series The Witcher is a hit. The game sales have been boosted massively, fans are eagerly awaiting the third season. But now there’s bad news: From season 4 we will have to do without Henry Cavill as Geralt. You can find all information about it here:

fans believethat this development has been apparent for a long time and could be mainly due to how much the series deviates from the book template. At the same time, Henry Cavill is considered a big fan of the template and, according to his own statement, always wanted the Netflix series to be implemented as faithfully as possible.
Henry Cavill said, he is a big fan of following the originals as closely as possible. If he had his way, we probably would have gotten a seven-season show in which he plays the Witcher.
We also know that Henry Cavill felt it was important for Geralt to talk more in season two and not just grunt and swear to himself. Which is mainly due to the fact that Geralt is well-read and intellectual in the books.
All of this was probably not always in line with the ideas of the people behind the camera. Or something must have changed if he surprisingly quits after three seasons.
In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Henry Cavill spoke at length about trying to Geralt in the series closer to that of the book template to bring up:

There are even several articles quoting Henry Cavill as saying that keeping the series as close as possible to the books was very important to him and a concern.
it have that even as a condition asked for his contribution, as stated here:

Which of course doesn’t fit with the fact that some authors of the Netflix series probably rather little love for the original books should have had. On the contrary: According to ex-producer Beau DeMayo, some in the Writer’s Room would have even made fun of the books and games (via: The Direct).
It comes as no surprise to some fans that Henry Cavill has given up the discussion. The reason for his departure could possibly be that the series too far from template wanted to say goodbye – but that is not certain.
Or is it because of Superman? It could also just have something to do with Henry Cavill’s schedule. The actor is set to reprise his role as Superman under the new DC leadership of James Gunn. That should definitely take up a lot of his time, maybe the filming will collide with the work on The Witcher.
Why do you think Henry Cavill is no longer playing Geralt in The Witcher?
