MARVEL: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Cooperation with Xbox

With the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, a collaboration between Xbox and Marvel is promoting diversity in gaming and STEM.

The highly anticipated film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opens in US cinemas on November 11th. Black Panther represents technological innovation, bold leadership and black excellence. In partnership with MARVEL Studios, Xbox aims to inspire a new generation of heroes to innovate, build and carve out a place for themselves in the gaming and STEM industries.

Various interactive experiences are offered. It starts with a drone show in the night sky, narrated by Letitia Wright. There are limited-time giveaways up for grabs, including five custom Xbox consoles themed in the style of the film, custom controller holders, replica Kimoyo beads and sterling charms. Xbox also released an all-star list to celebrate the theatrical release:

  • Letitia Wright will offer a series of videos of inspiration and encouragement, starring and playing Shuri, Princess of Wakanda and chief scientist of the Wakanda Design Group
  • Professor Jacoby DuBose will deliver a Wakanda-inspired HBCU lecture on November 7th from Howard University’s Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts. In addition to expanding the MakeCode curriculum, he will participate in a panel with Black Gaming and STEM innovators.
