Mass Effect 5: Developers make hints at N7 Day 2022

from Sarah Petzold
Mass Effect 5 is coming – at some point, at least, as the developers at Bioware officially confirmed on N7 Day 2022. They also released a cryptic teaser video that has fans puzzled.

Work on Mass Effect 5 is progressing. At least that’s what the developers at Bioware claim in a recent blog post that they published in time for N7 Day 2022. In it, they emphasize that the pre-production of the game is progressing well and that the team has been enlarged to create new characters and locations. A cryptic teaser trailer provides a first glimpse of what’s to come.

Cerberus is a paramilitary group of humans who believe their species is superior to any other race in the Milky Way. Cerberus plays an important role in Mass Effect 1 through 3, which could be the case again in Mass Effect 5. Commander Shepard’s return is also not out of the question.

Several lines of data running across the bottom of the screen in the video provide further speculation. Exactly what this entails remains unclear, but it seems to confirm the suspicion that Cerberus is building a new mass portal to potentially connect Andromeda to the Milky Way.

In addition to this cryptic message about Mass Effect 5, there was some other news for Mass Effect fans at N7 Day 2022: On November 17, 2022, Bioware, in cooperation with Maxis, will be releasing special N7 Day clothes for The Sims 4. All Sims 4 owners get the items for free. Bioware also offers the Mass Effect Legendary Edition currently with a deep discount on.
