Battlefield 2042: Date for Season 3 – Update brings new map and weapons
Battlefield 2042 is getting the next big update. As Electronic Arts announces, the first-person shooter will start Season 3 on November 22 “escalation“. Season 3 includes a new map, a new Specialist, more weapons, a new vehicle, and 100 more Battle Pass tiers. “In Season 3, the battles shift to the untamed Swedish wilderness of the new map Spearheadwhere semi-automated factories for the production of high-tech weapons can be found,” the publisher said when announcing the new season. You also join the Egyptian-born specialist Zain in battle from their cover.One of its special features is an instant health regeneration once it has neutralized a target.
Season 3 with new weapons and gadgets
About the new weapons in Battlefield 2042 (buy now €29.70 ) Season 3 counts the Rorsch Mk-4 railgun, which fires “incredibly fast projectiles”. Those caught in an ambush can turn to the compact, semi-automatic NVK-22 shotgun. The bullpup pistol NVK-P125, which also comes into play with Season 3, is suitable for long distances. Changes in specialists
You’ll also complete missions to unlock all the weapons, gadgets, specialists, and vehicles you missed in Season 1 or 2. With Season 3, the revised ones are also celebrating Map versions of Manifest and Umbruch made their debut. The new version of Manifest is scheduled to be released in December 2022, the new version of Umbruch in January 2023. During Season 3, the developers also want to make changes to the specialists and return to the class system. Right at the start of the season, each class receives class equipment and a class gadget of their choice. Weapon Perks will also become available, granting various gameplay advantages to all classes. For example, the scout can immediately hold its breath to better aim a sniper rifle. DICE promises to work on the class system beyond Season 4 and make further design adjustments.

BF 2042 can be tested for free on Xbox and Steam between December 1st and 5th. PlayStation players can try the first-person shooter again from December 16th to 23rd.
