from Thilo Bayer
The Ryzen 7000 CPUs for socket AM5 are moving further and further away from the recommended retail price. At the start of the week, the Ryzen 7 7700X and the Ryzen 9 7900X in particular have become cheaper.

Original article from 15.11.2022: Last week, PCGH analyzed the street prices of the Ryzen 7000 guard against AMD’s MSRP. At the beginning of the new week there are further price reductions to report.

7700X and 7900X even cheaper

In particular, the 8 and 12 cores in the line-up have once again become noticeably cheaper. The Ryzen 7 7700X actually has an RRP of 479 euros, last week it was already available for 435 euros (minus 9 percent). Currently calling Mindfactory 419 euros, that’s the best price at Geizhals. That’s 60 euros or 12.5 percent below the RRP. In the Top 10 of the CPU charts the 7700X is currently the only AM5 processor, putting it in 4th place.

Ryzen 9 7900X

The 12-core Ryzen 9 7900X is also cheaper again, which did well in the PCGH test, but did not receive a recommendation because of the price. The MSRP is 669 euros, last week the street price was 599 euros and this week it starts at 578 euros (Best price at Mindfactory). That is a discount compared to the RRP of a whopping 91 euros or 13.5 percent.
