Polaris Convention: Highlight video and date for 2023

A new highlight video was released for the Polaris Convention. The date for 2023 was announced.

The Polaris Convention in Hamburg made its debut at the end of October and got off to an excellent start with a varied program and many happy visitors. The organizers have now summarized the highlights of the premiere in an entertaining after movie.

In the After Movie, the five theme worlds of the fair are presented again and the many different activities that each individual world had to offer are shown. You can see the retro area, the cosplay contest, the PALUX cooking stages and lots of happy guests. There are also more numbers for the playable fair app. This was downloaded more than seven thousand times during the event.

The Polaris Convention, which was designed and implemented jointly by Super Crowd, Hamburg Messe und Congress and RCADIA, was also well received by the exhibitors.

The Nintendo company had the largest stand at the fair this year, showing numerous games. “We were very happy to see our fans again at Polaris 2022 in Hamburg. With its first edition, the convention has created an open and colorful platform for exchange within the community. We look forward to the upcoming editions of Polaris,” said Samiha Eid, Event Manager at Nintendo Europe.

Area sponsor of Neo Taki, the Asia and anime section of Polaris, was Crunchyroll, which is internationally known as a manga publisher and anime streaming provider. “We know that anime fans like to immerse themselves in the worlds of their favorite series, so we were delighted to be at Polaris this year to present their favorite series and those they are still discovering to anime fans in northern Germany can,” said Mary Franklin, Head of Events at Crunchyroll.

Traditional brands such as the Japanese camera manufacturer Canon were also represented with numerous activities. “We look back on three inspiring days and were happy to bring our product portfolio and our brand closer to the diverse communities from cosplay, gaming, streaming and art. Whether through photos or high-quality prints – many creative Canon moments have emerged. The communities can look forward to many more great conventions with the Polaris in the coming years,” says Tobias Kuhnig, contact person for New Channels/Gaming in Channel Marketing at Canon Germany.

After the great success of the first event, the date for 2023 has already been set. From October 13th to 15th, 2023, fans can celebrate the second edition of the Polaris Convention in the Hamburg exhibition halls.
