7 vs. Wild: A participant is desperate to make a fire, but Twitch streamer Knossi almost sets the jungle on fire

While a participant in the YouTube series 7 vs. Wild is desperate to make fire, Twitch streamers of all people are betting and survival novice Knossi nearly set fire to the jungle.

Which candidates are involved in the scene? Joris has an indirect involvement in the scene. He is an amateur biologist and the wildcard participant of the Panama Edition. Joris has been desperate to start a fire since Day 1 of 7 vs. Wild Season 2.

Already in the first episodes of the season, Joris declared a fire to be his main goal. An endeavor in which he fails several times and which should affect his state of mind on the tropical island.

On the other side is the twitch streamer and survival newcomer Jens “Knossi” Knossalla, who already successfully lit a small fire on the beach in episode 3. In episode 6, the entertainer goes one better and spontaneously sets a palm tree on fire.

Who is Knossi? Knossi is a 36-year-old entertainer who has a total of 2.1 million followers on Twitch. In the meantime, Knossi was the largest streamer in the world and is still one of the 5 largest German streamers on Twitch.

spoiler alert: If you haven’t watched Episode 6 of Season 2 of 7 vs. Wild, you may find the scene below to be a spoiler.

Knossi lights a palm tree in the Panamanian jungle

How does Knossi almost set fire to the jungle? When Knossi wakes up on the morning of the third day, he is eager to light a cigarette. After all, he didn’t have time for it the day before and then the rain got in the way, which was to return on the third day of the adventure.

In the aftermath of the pounding storm, the 36-year-old retreated to his “shelter” – a row of palm trees whose leaves protect him from the pouring rain.

While he’s standing under the palm trees, Knossi has a thought: “It wouldn’t be a problem with a lighter, then I’d smoke one here.” Then the entertainer falters, he has a dangerous idea: “Can I ignite the tree?”

Shortly thereafter, Knossi grabs his fire steel, prepares the dry bark hanging from the trunk of the palm tree into a nest of tinder and sets it on fire. An action that the 7 vs. Wild team describes as negligent in an overlay (via YouTube).

“What Knossi is doing here is negligent and should not be a role model. Fire must always be controlled. Please don’t just set trees on fire! Knossi is highly dependent on nicotine. Do yourself and those around you a favor and don’t start smoking.”

Here we include episode 6 of the second season of 7 vs. Wild. Said scene starts around 1:20:41:
