New Sci-Fi Shooter Coming To Steam In 2023 – “The 1997 Movie Vibes Are Present In The Game”

The early access launch of the new shooter “Starship Troopers: Extermination” on Steam has been announced for 2023. The game is based on a film from 1997, which is why fans of the sci-fi story are happy about the new game.

What kind of game will Starship Troopers: Extermination be? The game is based on the 1997 film Starship Troopers. There are already games that are based on the film story, such as a game of the same name launched in 2005.

Starship Troopers: Extermination is an action shooter with a sci-fi setting and first-person perspective from the game studio Offworld Industries, who also developed the tactical shooter “Squad”.

As a special unit you eliminate giant insects in a futuristic setting and fight as a trooper of the special unit “Deep Space Vanguard” against aliens on the planet “Valaka”. Your goal: Retake the fallen Federation colonies.

What will the gameplay look like in Starship Troopers: Extermination? Together with 11 other people you fight in online co-op against the giant plague, which represent aliens in the insect look.

Together you explore the planet and complete missions. At the same time you have to take care of your survival: collect resources in the game world and build a base, which you have to defend against the aliens. To escape the planet, you go to an extraction point.

There are three different classes available to you, which you can choose to suit your playstyle:

• attack
• support
• defense

If you rise in rank, you can unlock additional weapons, equipment and advantages for each class, which will help you in the fight against the insects.

There should be a big map, which consists of 5 different zones. You fight against entire enemy swarms consisting of hundreds of opponents. At the early access of the game you will encounter 5 different types of aliens:

• drone
• warrior
• Protect
• Plasma Grenadiers
• Tiger elite opponents

What does the multiplayer mode look like in Starship Troopers? A total of 12 players can gamble in online co-op: You form squads consisting of 4 people each.

Communication should be elementary in gameplay, which is why you can quickly exchange information with your teammates via a ping system.
