Starship Troopers is becoming the new first-person shooter and the Mobile Infantry needs you
After the strategy game Starship Troopers: Terran Command could only bring in moderate reviews, there is now a new attempt, with karacho! The franchise will be followed by another video game offshoot equipped and this time we’re literally running into the enemy hordes – in good old first-person fashion.
Starship Troopers harbors many bugs. Nearly countless, just waiting to be wiped out by the mobile infantry. It’s not much different in Starship Troopers: Extermination. And we don’t want to keep the cute cuddly toys waiting, do we? Here’s the first trailer, which is pretty much everything a Starship Troopers FPS can be.
Starship Troopers Extermination for the bin again?
It remains to be seen that Extermination has nothing to offer. But the first pictures don’t look very promising. the graphic let’s go through. Even if the something too colorful look somehow doesn’t quite fit the franchise. It should be said that this is about Pre-alpha footage acts. So it’s in a very early stage of development and not polished yet.
And yet: the look shouldn’t change too much by the end of production. The end result will differ only minimally from the material shown. We can derive this from the previous titles of the developer studio, among other things.
But what is Starship Troopers Extermination? Starship Troopers: Extermination is a PvE co-op shooter and the core gameplay with the squads is reminiscent of similar genre representatives as the loot shooter Left 4 Dead.
Who is producing Starship Troopers Extermination? The creative minds behind the Starship Troopers shooter come from the studio Offworld Industries.
They are for, among other things Games like “Squad” responsible. This, in turn, is a game based on realistic squad combat. So you bring a little previous experience with you. Also, they produced “Post Scriptum”, a WW2 simulation and Beyond The Wire, another multiplayer shooterset in WW1.
Like Beyond The Wire, Starship Troopers: Extermination will feature larger squads. Up to 12 players can at the same time at a co-op round take part. Although that doesn’t come close to the 50 rounds of “Beyond The Wire”, the developer studio seems to be on the safe side here too due to previous experience.
In the end, at first glance, the title looks exactly like how you would imagine such a loot shooter in the “Starship Troopers” universe. But maybe he knows how to surprise?
