Genshin Impact: Everything about update 3.3 – release date, banner, characters and the brand new card game
In Genshin Impact, the new update 3.3 will be released in December. This brings a number of new features, including the characters Wanderer and Faruzan, as well as a brand new deck of cards. We at MeinMMO summarize the most important things for you.
What are the highlights of 3.3? The new update is called “All sense clear, all being empty” and brings some innovations that were presented in a live stream, including:
- The characters Wanderer (also called Scaramouche) and Faruzan
- Four new banners
- The new weapons Tulaytullah’s Memory and Toukabou Shigure
- The new artifacts Chronicle of the Desert Pavilion and Flowers of Paradise Lost
- The new card game Brilliant Summoning, which can be played against NPCs and friends
- New Archon series quests
- 5 new events
When will update 3.3 be released? The update will be released on December 7, 2022. The maintenance work usually starts at 12:00 a.m. German time. Maintenance usually takes about 5 hours. If this time is extended, there are 60 bedrock per hour as compensation.
The patch is expected to remain active for five weeks until Update 3.4 is released in January 2023.

Two new characters in one banner
What are these characters? Wanderer and Faruzan are both characters from the Anemo element, and they come along with the Wanderer banner right at the start of patch 3.3.
Wanderer himself is a 5-star character, Main DPS and uses the Catalyst weapon. It works best with the new weapon Tulaytullah’s memory and also relies on the chronicle of the desert pavilion for the artifacts.
He was the villain in Patch 3.2, wanting to become a god himself with the help of the Sages of the Sumera Academy and the Gnosis of Raiden Shogun. Now he’s joining us.
Faruzan is an archer and it is currently not clear if she will be 4 or 5 stars. She relies on elemental burst damage, so Elegy for the End is the perfect weapon for her.
Faruzan also comes from the Sumera Academy and was a machinist there who knew everything about her field and was always helpful in providing information to others.
What other banners are there? Around patch 3.3 there will be three reruns of old banners of the following characters:
Card game “Brilliant Conjuration” as a major innovation
What card game is this? Brilliant Summoning is a new minigame that you can play against NPCs, but also against other players. The game is turn-based and the goal is to defeat all of the opponent’s characters while overcoming various challenges. Progress is made for playing against NPCs, but you only play against friends for fun.
There are two card types:
- characters
- Action Cards – where action cards are further broken down into equipment, event, and support cards
Each turn, you draw cards from your deck that you can then use. By the way, the cards are played with elementary dice. At the beginning of each round you roll 8 eight-sided dice and thereby get points from the 7 elements of the game. You can then use these points to play cards.
It is currently unclear how you get your first set of cards. However, you should earn experience points by playing and thus get new cards and be able to rebuild your deck with them. There is also an in-game shop where you can buy new cards with Lucky Coins – a special currency for the card game.

Patch 3.3 quests and events
What are the new quests? Update 3.3 introduces a sequel to Chapter 3 Act 5. You will most likely need to have completed the Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises quests beforehand.
What about new events? With the new patch you can expect 5 new events:
- Akitsu Kimodameshi is a new event in Inazuma
- Across the Wilderness is an Adventurers Guild event where you have to collect balloons
- Misty Dungeon: Realm of Sand is a dungeon event
- Windrace is a Hide and Seek event that has already taken place and is now being repeated
- Ley Line Overflow gives double rewards in Ley Line Outcrops
