Overwatch 2: In Season 2 you dive into Greek mythology and fight for Olympus

Overwatch 2 fans won’t have to wait much longer. On December 6th, Blizzard’s shooter will start its second season, which is said to be heavily influenced by Greek mythology.

In the sign of the Greek gods

In addition to the new tank hero Ramattra, which we have already heard a lot about, there is a new map and a new mode. Ramattra himself is the first hero in Overwatch to be able to completely shapeshift. Matching the Omnic, the Shambali Monastery also comes into play as a new escort map.

You can visit the old map Riatto and also Blizzard World in Season 2. Oasis and Nepal can now be visited at multiple times of the day, while Hollywood and Watchpoint: Gibraltar are dropping out of the rotation. Blizzard writes that on the official site.

In terms of balancing, Blizzard would like to tackle Sojourn. Players are meant to make better use of their mobility, so we can expect the latest damage dealer to either be weakened at range or boosted for medium and close range attacks.

In the Battle Pass, the highlight will be a Zeus skin for Junker Queen, fitting the Greek mythology theme. Additionally, there is a Legendary Poseidon skin for Ramattra and a Legendary Hades skin for Pharah. In the Season 2 trailer, we also see Widow Maker as Medusa and other gods of Olympus. You can also look forward to Twitch drops and seasonal events again.

Unlike the first season, this time Blizzard unlocks the hero challenges. With these you can unlock heroes that you don’t already own. If you don’t manage to get Kiriko anymore in the first season, you can get her this way even after the Battle Pass has expired.
