The Witcher Remake: The release is still very far away

Fans should not expect a timely release of the remake of The Witcher: the new edition is still a long way off. This was confirmed by CD Projekt in an investor meeting.

In addition to the remake and the new trilogy, another The Witcher game is also in the works with Project Sirius. This is currently being developed by the development studio The Molasses Flood, which was bought by CD Projekt in 2021.

Again, officials are yet to reveal their cards, but according to Adam Kicinski, Sirius will be a game designed to appeal to a “broader audience.” Exactly what that means is left open, because you’re simply not ready for it: “Since the game is different from anything we’ve released before, we have to be sure that the players can understand what it’s about game goes – so we don’t describe what kind of game it will be or how big it will be,” said the head of CD Projekt.

Unsurprisingly, Sirius still has no release date. But Polaris, the remake and Project Sirius will be the next three The Witcher games that CD Projekt will release. Before that, however, the next-gen update for The Witcher 3 is waiting, which will be released on December 14th.
