WoW: Too powerful? Disabled special weapon effects in Dragonflight
The developers have switched off some effects of special weapons in WoW: Dragonflight without further ado. Originally, these were supposed to still work on the Dragon Islands, but were suddenly deactivated. Apparently they were too powerful after all.
With the launch of WoW (buy now ): Dragonflight we say goodbye to the shadow lands and start our journey on the dragon islands. Along the way, we’ll also inevitably trade in our hard-earned gear for new items and sets. The better the armor was at the end of Shadowlands, the longer it takes.
Special weapons lose their effects
In Shadowlands there were some weapons that came around the corner with special effects. These were so good that they mostly represented the absolute BiS weapons (sometimes even for classes for which they were not intended at all). At the start of Dragonflight, these weapons were still so good that even the weapons from mythical dungeons could not surpass them. Blizzard didn’t like that and so the effects were deactivated without further ado.
The following weapons have lost their effects:
An upgraded one Jaithy’s the prison blade By the way, retains its effect – even if it is not nearly as strong as with the nerfed weapons.

Do you like the intervention of the developers or would you not have had a problem if a weapon from Shadowlands was also extremely strong at the beginning of WoW: Dragonflight? At the latest in the raid or the Mythic Plus dungeons, it would probably have fallen victim to the increasing item level anyway.
