Modern Warfare II receives competitive mode with the rules of Call of Duty League

Treyarch has released the delayed competitive multiplayer game mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II called CDL Moshpit.

Acting as a mock up for Modern Warfare II Ranked Play, which won’t arrive until 2023, CDL Moshpit was originally planned to launch on November 16 as part of the game’s first season of live content.

Its release was delayed a couple of weeks after the discovery of unspecified issues with the mode, which Treyarch said it was addressing as its “Maximum priority”.

While it is now live, the studio said that players will notice that before selecting ‘Start, Find Match’, their regular multiplayer loadouts are displayed instead of CDL Private Match loadouts. He is working on a fix for this which will be included in a future update.

The CDL Moshpit roster uses the standard Call of Duty League rules, restrictions, and map rotation in its three official game modes: Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, and Control.
