Pokémon Crimson/Crimson: First patch against technical problems

With Patch 1.1.0, Nintendo delivers the first improvements for Pokémon Crimson & Crimson, which want to save the game. The update is intended to fix various bugs.

The release of the latest Pokémon offshoot “Pokémon Crimson & Crimson” is now two weeks ago. Now for the first time there should be a remedy for the numerous technical problems that plagued the game from the beginning – in the form of a comprehensive update.
Since the release, numerous players have reported about various Bugs, glitches, crashes, frame drops and much more that greatly spoiled any joy about a new Pokémon adventure. Nintendo has not commented on the problems for a long time, but has now promised improvement and even apologized to the fans.
“We always aim to provide players with a positive experience with our games, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We take player feedback seriously and are working to improve the games,” according to a statement on the official website NintendoAmerica.
As a first step in improving the game, on December 1st Patch 1.1.0 for Pokémon Crimson & Crimson released. This is not only intended to fix numerous bugs and improve performance, but also introduces the first season of ranked battles.
So Nintendo brings at least one feature in Pokémon Crimson & Crimson that will keep fans busy after the end of the game. Overall, however, the technical improvements are far from extensive enough to bring the gaming experience to the level that it should have been at release.
Amazing sales figures despite technical disaster
Despite all the criticism of the game, Nintendo was able to record amazing sales figures with Pokémon Crimson & Crimson. Alone in the first days after release the title sold over 10 million times. These circumstances raise slight doubts that Nintendo is out of the real release disaster of the game will learn. Because even if they deliver further updates in the future that let the title run smoothly and almost bug-free on the switch, the game should never have appeared in this state at all.
At the latest with the next Pokémon game, Nintendo has to prove that they can really take feedback from their fans seriously and not risk releasing a broken and unfinished title again.
