Diablo 4: Release in June – reveal it at the Game Awards [Gerücht]

Diablo 4: NDA for endgame beta broken in no time

from Yusuf Hatic
Speculations about the upcoming action RPG Diablo 4 are piling up: According to insider reports, a flood of details should be published before the Game Awards – potentially including the release date.

When is Diablo 4 coming out? After WindowsCentral and the XboxEra podcast unanimously reported a launch in April 2023 to be announced for the Game Awards on December 8, insider Tom Henderson contradicted this information a few days ago. According to Henderson, Diablo 4 will be revealed before the awards ceremony, but will not be represented at the event itself.

Henderson corrected this information a little himself: More than a hundred journalists were given the opportunity to play Diablo 4 in advance and got some insights behind the scenes. However, the collected impressions are still under an embargo and may not be published before December 7th – one day before the Game Awards.

As soon as the embargo falls, some details about Diablo 4 should come to light. According to Henderson, contrary to his original assumption, these will now culminate in a presentation at the Game Awards, during which an official release date for Diablo 4 will also be announced. While there was initially speculation about a release date in April 2023, insider Jez Corden is now rowing back a bit: April is “the earliest possible” release date – instead, this could also be delayed until June 2023.

Corden also suspects that other topics related to Diablo 4 should have priority at the Game Awards. In the course of the presentation, Blizzard should primarily talk about a date for the open beta and details about the pre-order and Collector’s Edition of Diablo 4. At the same time, the Diablo 4 pre-orders should also start at this time.
