On Wednesday, WoW buffs 3 classes that are now too weak - And nerfs 2 that are too strong

A week after the release of WoW Dragonflight, Blizzard is already adjusting most of the classes. Some classes are hit pretty hard, others are happy about strong buffs.

Who gets buffed? In a new one Post in the WoW forum Blizazrd announces upcoming buffs and nerfs for Wednesday, December 7th. There are buffs for:

  • Hunters, primarily survival and marksmanship
  • Fire Mage
  • Brewmaster and Mistweaver Monks
  • Protection Paladins
  • Restoration Shaman
  • Weapon and protection warrior

Some spells and abilities, but sometimes also the total damage, are increased. Magicians, hunters and shamans in particular should be happy. According to initial assessments in the current tier list for Dragonflight, they are too weak in many areas.

There is also a general buff for all tanks. The traditionally least popular role will cause 650% threat starting Wednesday, down from 550% previously.

This should make DPS players less likely to be targeted by enemies.

Who gets nerfed? On the other hand, there are downward adjustments for some classes that are too strong in the DPS ranking and especially in PvP:

  • Demon Hunter
  • Restoration Druids
  • assassin villains
  • Sorcerer

According to many experts, demon hunters in particular are the absolute top in many areas, but villains also dominate the ranking. Rogues get a major nerf: Bleed’s cooldown is increased from 45 seconds to 3 minutes, and targets bleed out just 80% faster.

There is also an important nerf for PvP. Rogues can kill enemies in as little as a second with the right build. The core ability for the build, Echoing Reproach, is now reduced by 30% in PvP. Almost all other classes are also getting a PvP nerf, with the exception of Priests, Hunters, Paladins, and Demon Hunters.

Dragonflight was released on November 29, 2022. You can find all the information about the new expansion in our special. The trailer gives you an overview of the most important features:
